I only allowed myself 10 minutes for the Morrisons sketch – I was supposed to be shopping there, after all.
The Urban Sketcher’s manifesto (http://www.urbansketchers.org/p/our-manifesto.html) explains how the object of Urban Sketching is to record what we see in-situ. There is no working on the image afterwards and so the idea of limiting my time on sketches helps me focus on what stands out in front of me.
I’ve found the sketch I did in 2014. It’s a view inside the bridge which connects Dublin’s Christ Church Cathedral with the Victorian Gothic building next door. I think I took about 20 minutes on this.
