After sketching at Morrisons, I did some research online and bought some Derwent and Staedtler pencils, and an A4 hard-backed sketch pad, and a pencil sharpener… and a rubber.
Before long we travelled to Bournemouth and despite a southerly wind hammering in from the Channel I wanted to try another sketch. I bought a cup of tea from the Slug and Lettuce which entitled me to sit under their big shelter and I started sketching. Half an hour was all my fingers could bear.
